Setup
@langdrift/core 0.1.0 · unpublished@langdrift/core exposes the langdrift binary. Setup is explicit:
langdrift setup \
--root /path/to/product \
--project-id proj_example \
--account-id acc_example \
--name 'Example Product'--root must name an existing directory. If it is omitted, setup searches
upward from the current directory for .git. Outside a Git repository, pass
--root.
Project and account IDs are routing and context metadata. Setup does not create an account, authenticate either ID, or authorize access to a project.
Generated files
Setup manages exactly four JSON files:
.drifts/
project.json
vision/schema.json
loop/schema.json
evidence/schema.jsonA new project.json records protocol version 1, project identity, setup
package generator provenance, and integration configuration. LangDrift is
enabled locally; GitHub, Linear, and Obsidian start disabled. The three pillar
schemas are self-contained copies from @langdrift/sdk.
Setup does not generate empty artifact trees, Markdown documents, agent harnesses, or placeholder integrations.
Command options
--root <directory>--project-id <id>--account-id <id>--name <name>--github-installation-id <numeric-id>--github-repository <owner/repository>--linearor--no-linear--obsidianor--no-obsidian--dry-run--json--helpor-h
The two GitHub values must be provided together for a new configuration. They store non-secret references only. Linear and Obsidian flags store optional interface settings only.
If identity values are missing, the CLI prompts only when standard input and
standard error are interactive terminals and --json is absent. Noninteractive
and JSON runs fail with the missing fields instead.
Local operation
Setup makes no network requests, receives no credentials, and does not connect GitHub, Linear, Obsidian, an MCP server, or a backend. The package has no postinstall setup hook. Building or packing the workspace does not run setup and does not publish either package.
